About Aurum

Controller-level discipline with an owner-focused perspective

Aurum Financial Group helps growing private businesses build reliable financial operations—clearer close processes, stronger reporting, practical controls, better cash visibility, and systems that can scale.

Our purpose

Financial information should help leaders run the business

Growing companies often reach a point where routine bookkeeping is no longer enough, but a full-time senior Controller may not yet be the right answer. Aurum exists to close that gap with flexible, experienced oversight.

The work combines accounting discipline with operational practicality. The objective is not complexity for its own sake—it is a dependable close, useful reports, clear responsibilities, visible risks, and decisions supported by better information.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Fractional Controller?

A Fractional Controller provides experienced accounting leadership on a recurring part-time, interim, or project basis. The role typically owns close discipline, reporting quality, reconciliations, controls, team review, and accounting-process improvement.

Will Aurum replace our bookkeeper or CPA?

Usually, no. Aurum can work with the existing accounting team and tax CPA. Routine accounting activity and tax or attest services remain with the professionals responsible for those areas, while Aurum provides defined Controller-level oversight and advisory support.

How is the scope determined?

The scope depends on the condition of the books, reporting requirements, team capacity, entities and locations, systems, inventory or project complexity, deadlines, and management priorities. A paid Financial Assessment may be recommended when deeper review is needed.

Can Aurum support a temporary leadership gap?

Yes. An interim scope may help preserve close and reporting continuity, organize responsibilities, document processes, and support a transition while the company determines its longer-term solution.
